An introduction to KS3 poetry which requires no previous literary training. Key Stage 3 students explore their creative ability with poetry worksheets and resources. Students will write their own poetry aided by the resources in lesson plans and worksheets. Students will also develop analytical and appreciation skills with these KS3 poetry lessons.

Topics include: What is a poem?; Rhythm and rhyme; Limericks, riddles and acrostics; Creating atmosphere through light, colour, sound, silence; The haiku; Figurative techniques; Picture poetry.
